Gender reveal party?

Anyone planning on doing a gender reveal party? My husband and I are finding out the sex of our baby on December 23rd and thinking about having a gender reveal/Christmas party with both our families on the 24th. Any thoughts or suggestions? This is our first baby and neither of us have been to one. Are any of you also planning on doing this for your baby?

Hubby and I will be finding out December 11th and having a gender reveal with both families. This is our first (been together 13 years!) but we were looking at Christmas lights today and I thought it would be a cute reveal to hang pink/blue lights on the tree and once everyone is there, plug in the lights to see what you're having! I can't wait til Christmas though! ☺️

We popped a big balloon and had confetti inside. It was so cool!! We didn't know, we took results in an envelope to the party store.

We are finding out on the 23rd December too 😊 
We are going to ask the sonographer to investigate whilst we look away, and then get her to place either a pink or blue Christmas bow in a present box and we'll open it on Christmas Day together.

We're finding out around the same time (the week of Christmas) and are having a gingerbread boy and gingerbread girl themed party with red and green instead of blue and pink.

I had one it was awesome! We are having a boy!! Blue balloons and one big baby bottle that said its a boy came out the box! My sister -in- law did the box, my cousin who is the godmother made the cake. They were the only ones that knew.

We are having a reveal party in 2 days at the bar we both manage and bartend at. All my husbands idea lol I'm impatient and would've found out on Friday when the results came in. But he wants to include our friends and family and the regulars that have become friends over the last year since we opened the bar. Plus it gives people another chance to bring diapers lol apparently we're gonna need a lot of them!😋💙💖

We are going in for the ultrasound December 10th and having the gender reveal on the 12th. Which happens to be my birthday! We are planning on going out to dinner with family and close friends then we will cut a cake and find out if it's pink or blue!! 💙💖💙💖💙💖

We had a gender reveal with our closest friends and my side of the family. We just did a giant black balloon with confetti in it. My brother took care of the balloon part for us. We just had a spaghetti dinner with salad and drinks of course (except for me 😕). Those that had kids brought their kids and it was a fun time for everyone. So everyone was surprised except for my bro! I highly suggest it but keep it simple, especially if you are tired often.
