Hi girls, I am looking for advice to support my best friend. So, she has been married to an abusive guy (mentally and physically) for many years and has a a five year old kid. Finally, she filled for a divorce around a month ago and this is to be finalized by the end of this month. In the meantime she started a new relationship with a guy who really seems nice but I feel she goes too fast and putting herself (she is jobless) and kid in second place. She lied to the ex-husband that she will go on vacations with me when in reality she is visiting the new boyfriend and she also spent a lot of money to visit him lying to her dad that she needed the money for the divorce (she pays for it alone). On top of everything the ex-husband seems to not realizing that they are getting a divorce and the new guy also has some financial issues. She is completely into the new guy but something doesn’t feel right to me and I am afraid this might backfire on her.
