Membrane sweep?

I know this is for postpartum but I was wondering if anyone had it done and if it worked or not? Not sure if I should get it done I’m 39w3d.

No it didn’t and I don’t recommend them. I think they barely work but put me into pre-dormal labour.

It took 24 hours to go into labor after mine. It was a little discomfort and it was over. My plug fell out before I even got home

Yup.. worked for me ! Got my membranes sweeped at 39 weeks and went into labour next day and had my baby at 39+2

Had mine swept at 40 weeks, went into labor 40+4. I’d say it initiated things but obviously it didn’t ‘work’ as in right away

I had 2 sweeps. The first one at 39+9 didn’t Work. The second one I had at 40+3 worked, my water broke 13 hours later

I had it done 3 different times and then it finally happened but after I had it done the first time I was in labor but not active labor if that makes sense

With my last pregnancy my doctor did it at 40 weeks. I had my son at 40 weeks and 2 days. I think personally it helped because it triggered contractions. I am going to do it again this pregnancy a little earlier this time! For some women it doesnt work, but everyone is different.

Absolutely!! I had a membrane sweep done at 39w5d around 3pm and my water broke at 8am the next morning.
