Membrane sweep and stretch done yesterday morning at 39 weeks + 4. I had little bits of brown mucus that I lost throughout the night and today. I had irregular, period like cramps. The cramps continued into today. This morning, I lost this LARGE amount of dark brown mucus. Since then, I haven’t had as many cramps or as intense. Still some irregular; period like cramps but mild and not as frequent.

So is what I lost this morning a mucus plug or bloody show ? Or both? And why would the cramps ease up?
