Car seat cover necessary ?

I literally have everything for this little girl except a carrier (buying that later) and a car seat cover. I don’t plan to go anywhere besides appointments so do you all think it’s necessary??

No a car seat cover isn’t necessary and if you decide you want to cover up the seat just throw a Muslin blanket over the handle and that’ll do the trick in a pinch

Yes and no. I bought a car seat with one already built into the canopy and it was a life savor with my first so I got the upgraded version for this baby. Technically your not supposed to use them because they aren’t tested/regulated and can trap heat/co2 in the car seat. If your going to use it, use it sparingly as a need to basis not an every moment basis.

I used mine alot with my first. Anytime we had to leave the house during our fall winter it's super cold and windy. It didn't cost much so definitely worth it in my opinion.

It isn’t necessary. You could just throw a thin blanket over the car seat when in public. I personally bought a breastfeeding cover from milk snob and plan to use it when we are out.

I bought one with my first and never used it. I wouldn’t buy one unless your car seat doesn’t have a retractable shade on it ( hope that made sense as I can’t think of what it’s called.. canopy ? Lol)

Same boat but will probably get one. How cold does it get where you are? If it gets cold, it’s nice to keep warmer air closer to them. 
Also I plan on doing lots of neighborhood walks and prob will pull it down as we pass people

We have two OVer covers for our car seat. They double has nursing covers too and are beautiful and stretchy (Canadian company). I feel it is necessary this year especially. Can act as a bit of a barrier for germs and dim well-intentioned strangers, even if only walking out of hospital or going to doc appointments!
