When to relax

Question

I have a scan on Saturday will be 6+3... i had a miscarriage in June where there was an empty sack. My question is if I go on saturday and there is a baby with a heartbeat can I relax?? I know i won't fully relax till 12 weeks but im so scared to enjoy or get excited about the baby and I really want to feel happy about it x

So I have never had a miscarriage and cannot completely relate, but my Mom had many and so have close friends (one at 20 weeks)... that being said, my thinking is that 1) everyday past six weeks the chances of a miscarriage go down and 2) if a miscarriage is going to happen, it will happen wether we are stressed or not. Best to save the exhaustion stress brings and not have those stress hormones going to the baby. No science there, just my thinking that calmer is better. Really understand that is easier said than done and maybe not the right option for everyone though....

I lost my son at almost 17 weeks. I don’t think there’s a time you can truly relax until they are here. Not saying to continually worry, I’m just saying for me I can’t be naive that other things can’t go wrong so I stay reAlistic.

I had anxiety the entire first trimester with my pregnancy after my mc. I tried to tell myself it's a different pregnancy, let it happen but shew it was hard to not worry.
