Convertible carseats

Question

Hi all, I have the Nuna Rava for my first child, and I was thinking of the Clek Foonf for baby #2, but we subscribe to Consumer Reports and the Clek is really poorly rated! I’m sad because I read so many good things and had my heart set on the Merino wool version because I’m paranoid about flame retardants. Does anyone else know of any good car seats without flame retardants? If not I guess we’ll just buy another Rava🤷🏼‍♀️

Do you like your rava? That’s top of my list but want to make sure it beats out the others on the list, Britax and maxi cosi

I would check out the carseatlady, she explains why consumer reports has this seat rated lower (it’s apparently not as user friendly as the others) however she herself uses the Clek with her own kids! Clek also is the only company to publish their own crash test data, and they actually show side crash results!! Other USA companies have test side impact but there currently is no side impact results they have to meet. :(

We love our foonf! I wonder if it’s poor rating is due to its weight, because it is heavy. My guy loves being in his. It’s so easy to install, the straps are SO easy and never flip, there are tab holders so you never have to dig the straps out from under them. One thing I could see as a problem is that you can’t washing machine wash the cover, but it does spot clean really easily. I wouldn’t hesitate to get another if we had another kiddo.
