What’s everyone’s job?

I’m still looking for my forever career.. something laid back but not too laid back like fast food. Having the hardest time find what I want to do without job bouncing! Would love to hear about what every does and how they like it! I don’t have any degrees or anything. I worked as an assist manager at a fast food place I’ve been at for 6 years and just recently started banking for a few months, but not sure if I like it enough to stay here my whole life.. thank you mommas!

I drive a school bus! I LOVE it. Perfect schedule, always off when the kids are off... get a great break in between routes for a nap or doctors appointments. I don’t work over the summer and still get paid. It’s not the best paying job, but like who gets off for every single holiday, week for thanksgiving, two and a half weeks for Christmas, and all summer? Nobody lol maybe a teacher but even then we get more days off then they do. And all you need to do is pass your CDL test. It’s overlooked but it’s truly a great job with great benefits as well.

I’m a Board Certified Behavior Analyst working with children with Autism. I own my own company which provides parents with courses and resources on how to tame toddler tantrums, sleep training, teaching kids emotional regulation, teaching life skills, creating a calming home environment for kids with disabilities, etc. I have a masters in psychology with a concentration in applied behavior analysis as well as a masters in special education. Love my career! 😍

I own a tanning salon with my husband (he also has his own plumbing business).. I worked for a tanning salon for 4 years, then the owner informed us all that she was going to be selling and would be letting us go.... So my husband went and bought it from her 😂 and now its been ours for 4 years! No employees, just us two. I love it. I also do spray tanning and will be adding waxing and other services within the next year or so! I love the atmosphere of working in a tanning salon. Its relaxing, layed back and you get to socialize with all kinds of people on a daily basis! A majority of our clients have basically turned into a second family to us. I went to school for event and wedding planning, this job was just supposed to be temporary while I saved money (I was a single mom at a young age before I met my husband) and now its my life! I wouldnt rather be doing anything else!

I’m a unit coordinator of an ER. 🏥I love it.Working here I’ve learned a lot about myself. How much stress I can handle, how I work under pressure and chaos extremely well.I could never imagine going to a quiet office or something. I’d lose it 😂I also have had the worst stories you can imagine stick with me. Just another day at work is someone else’s worse day of their life. It can be hard sometimes. It makes you a strong person working in healthcare that’s for sure.

Government Analyst. It's mostly Human Resources. Lots of confidential, sensitive data, special projects. I love where I work. getting a government job is difficult where I am though, it's very competitive. I was applying, taking exams, and interviewing for sometime (at least a year out of college). Plenty of upward mobility and excellent benefits and retirement.

I’m a teacher and I teach a transition program for adult students with mild/moderate intellectual and developmental disabilities. It’s not laid back, but it’s more laid back than a regular teaching career because I basically have complete autonomy over my program. I absolutely love it. It’s my calling in life.

By banking do you mean you're a teller or personal banker? If so, id rexommend looking through job postings at your employer to see what they have available and what the responsibilities and pay are. Theres a lot of opportunities at banks, especially the big ones. I've worked at one for almost 10 years now and love it. I've gone through 3 jobs prior to my current role as an internal investigator, basically looking into employee misconduct. I definitely woulsnt call it a laid back job tho lol id just start where you are and try and develop your career from there.
