After my MC at 14 weeks and my most recent chemical MC, I had some blood work done. It came back that I have MTHFR gene mutation and high levels of homocysteine. My doctor put me on one baby aspirin a day, a DHA prenatal, and extra folic acid. When/if I get pregnant I will have to take the baby aspirin up to 16 weeks, then switch over to shots of blood thinner my whole pregnancy because this gene mutation basically means I have problems throwing blood clots. My question is...have you been diagnosed with this? What else should I be doing to help me aid in getting pregnant, carrying the baby full term, and having a healthy child? Thank you in advance.
