Today was my last day of maternity leave. I know I’m so lucky being in the UK getting 12 months off compared to you US mamas 💖 I’m just so sad 😭😭😭 luckily it’s weekend but I’ve already felt teary at times today. Like when my partner did the shopping and brought avocados home, it dawned on me that it won’t be me giving them to her for lunch next week 😭😭😭 Luckily due to Covid I’ll be working from home and see baby more than if I was in the office which softens the blow but my heart is already hurting so much to leave my sweet baby for 8 hours a day 😭
