Can you donate blood if you smoke weed?

idk if this belongs here or not but I'ma post it anyway cause I really need an answerrr... I have an appointment tomorrow but yea I have been researching it and it seems like weed and alcohol are fine but I am wondering if anyone here has had any experience with this... please let me know. wondering if they will detect it or not.

There will probably be a question about it on the paper you fill out. Drinking alcohol is fine, but you can't donate drunk or with it in your system. The thing is, is that is gets out of your system way before weed does. They may test your blood too once you donate it for any drugs or alcohol. If they find any, they will toss it out.

if you're a regular smoker, your blood can still contain it for over a month. so if say try be sober for this long before you donate

I'm pretty sure they test your blood for all drugs after drawing it and then if it tests positive positive for marijuana they will throw it out and you will have done it for no reason.

you have to be sober for a certain number of hours so your blood can clean itself out & then you can, I'm pretty sure. check the Red Cross website.
