Had a d&c on August 8th. 
Had sex a week ago.

Sorry for your loss. Has your doctor monitored your HCG levels after? It could be residual HCG from the previous pregnancy and is slowly going down. Enough to give a line on the FRER but not enough for a digital. 
That’s only my opinion though. Maybe see your doctor for a blood test or test again in a few days.
