How Accurate is the Nub Theory ?

We had our 14 week ultrasound today. The ultrasound tech told us that we were most likely having a girl. She said she could tell it’s a girl because the nub is horizontal to the spine. I’m not familiar with the Nub theory. Is it 100 percent accurate? I’m tempted to start buying baby girl clothes lol.

Our ultrasound tech told us last week based on nub theory that we are having a girl, but it’s just that. A theory. Until we get a little further along and get a definite answer I’m an not buying anything girl/boy.
