10lb+ baby
Looking for anyone whose had to make a similar decision.
My daughter was born vaginally with a broken collarbone (no shoulder dystocia). She was born with a midwife at 38 weeks 9lbs2oz 23inches. I didn’t tear and only pushed for 1 hour. I did not have gestational diabetes.
I am pregnant with baby #2.
This time I do have gestational diabetes.
I am 32 weeks. Last week, he was measuring over 99.99% for weight, belly, head, and fluid.
He weighed 5.5lbs. They’re estimating he’ll be over 10lbs and advising me to have a c section for fear of shoulder dystocia. They said we can wait until closer to due date to decide, but to be prepared for it to be strongly recommended to have a c section.
This has been said by my midwives and also OBGYNs.
Anyone had a similar experience?
