Wondering

Im just wondering i havent had a period since the end of may. Im not pregnant. I went to the doctor asking if they can prescribe some medication to help my period start back. He gave me a prescription to get started on birth control so that my lining wouldn't get too thick. Any other remedies i may can try to help my period come back on? .. My husband & i are against birth control due too we are actively trying. This is just so annoying. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

*Disclaimer my period were normally at one point. I had a miscarriage in april, regular period in may and nothing since then.
