Which double stroller; splurge or save?

Kerri

My daughter will be almost 2.5 when my next is born. I mainly just use our stroller now for walks. We live in the mountains so an all-terrain stroller (or at least one that goes smoothly on grass/dirt) is key. I’d like a double that I can use on walks, although I could probably wear my newborn and put my daughter in the stroller (or she can walk if she feels like it). Also I need something not super heavy that will fit in my car. I’ve narrowed it down to two options (I think):

The (too) expensive option:

We have a single GT which I absolutely love, but I can’t justify spending $600 on the double new. I know how great it is, but I honestly I probably only need a double stroller for about a year so I don’t know if it’s worth it. I may just buy one used because it basically has everything I’m looking for. My hold up with the GT double is obviously the price and size. It’s kind of heavy and some reviews say it doesn’t fit through doorways.

The budget friendly option:

This stroller has almost everything I’m looking for except it doesn’t hold a car seat. It’s lighter and more narrow than the CMGT. The tires are EVA foam and can go over various terrain, but they don’t seem as nice as the GT ones. Also, we have a Jeep single umbrella, and while the tires really do go over different terrain well, the wheels started squealing the first time i used it. This double stroller appears to be better-built that the umbrella and it has amazing reviews, but a few people did report squeaky wheels with this one too.
