What religion should your children have?

If you are religious or believe in something religious or spiritual and your partner doesn't have those same views either different religion or not having one how would you go about raising them? And even if your outlooks aligned would you raise them in it or not? 
For example if you believe in God and going to church, would you tell your children your beliefs and take them to church? Or would you let it be up to them to decide what they want. Or vice versa maybe you are not religious and they want to believe in God. How would you go about support with either? 
I'm curious. Before I have children I want to think of this. As I personally believe in God though I am far from perfect, I'm wondering how I should go about raising them?

Of course I am going to instill my values in my children, and we go to church as a family. I am also going to encourage them to ask questions about God and if they end up on a different religious path, that’s fine (as long as it isn’t a cult or something harmful)

We educate our children on the basis of all religion and spirituality. 
We don’t go to church but if they wanted to go they are welcome to go with other family members that does. 
I don’t think children NEED a religion. However if they come to you and express concerns or whatever you need to address rationally and not emotionally. Let them make decisions for themselves

I’d take children to my church. If my partner had a different church/temple/mosque etc. we’d go back and forth every week. 
I’d let them choose their own path including visiting most friends places of worship. I’d also allow them not to go at all once they reached an age to make a reasonable argument against going if that’s what they wanted.

Both my parents were raised in religious households. Neither of them pushed religion on us (they were not followers anyway). They let us pick whatever religion we wanted, if we wanted one and was supportive of whatever we chose to do.

I would be transparent about our differing beliefs and provide my child with the support and education to choose their own path. 
My husband and I are both atheist but if our son inquires about other beliefs we will always educate and support him.

My man isn’t religious but his mom is a deeply superstitious Southern Baptist. Bless her heart. 
I want to tell my kids she’s full of sit one day because I don’t want them walking around regurgitation her homophobic, God-fearing, Satan-obsessed nonsense. But I’m a person who spends plenty of time reading religious texts from all over the world. So I’ll be able to educate them as a person who actually reads the Bible as well as the Qu’ran as welll as the Tao Te Ching as well as the Vedas and others. Plus I was raised in an oral tradition. I feel like I’ll have rich discussions about religion and spirituality with my kids, and they’ll decide to believe what they want or study what they want... what I will insistently instill in them though is not to rely on ancient men as their moral compasses.

You would talk it out with your partner and arrive on something you are both comfortable with.. if possible, you have the convo before getting pregnant in the first place, since religion can be such a big part of a family dynamic ... it’s really not something that one person just ‘wins’

I strongly disagree with raising children with one religion. If my partner and I had different beliefs I would teach them the beliefs and practices of both faiths. I would also encourage them to explore any other religion they were interested in. If they wanted nothing to do with religion that would be ok too.

We will be teaching our children of all religions and on our spirituality. As a child I felt like I was taught to believe something and to not question it. I don’t want my kids to be afraid to learn something new and to make a decision on their own. As a family we will and do respect all religions and any other beliefs.

We believe in god. We are far from perfect as well. So because my husband works some sundays and we can’t be loyal to church we do watch some pastors on YouTube, however not every Sunday as we tend to get busy. If my daughter is all about it I definitely won’t stand in the way of her loving god the way she wants
