How to determine baby is on track?

After the 20 week ultrasound, how do people know if their baby is measuring on track? How does the doc measure? Thanks!

Fundal height! Measure from top of bump to your pubic bone, and how many cm's should add up to how many weeks you are - give or take 2cm!

At that ultrasound they will check all the major organs and spine, the umbilical cord, amount of fluid and position of the placenta. They measure abdominal circumference, head diameter and fetal length. These can be used to give a weight estimate. However when you have the scan don't get too caught up on numbers. It's growth that's more important than where they fall on a chart. Good luck and enjoy seeing your LO!
