Can't get pregnant?!

I'm 20 years old my bf and I have been trying to start a family but I just can't  seem to get pregnant I'm kind of scared to visit a doctors because I'm already imagining the worst! But we want to keep trying just maybe January then visit a docs but for now we will wait it out any suggestions? We have our own car we have our own place we both have very good stable jobs! Maybe I'm stressing on it too much!?
