1 successful pregnancy so far 🤞🏽

Ta

Hi!

New to the group so I thought I’d share a little bit about my story!

My husband and I weren’t actively trying for a baby but I got pregnant in April of 2017. A few weeks later at about 9 weeks pregnant I started bleeding bright red. We were in a softball league and our game was about to start but we had to rush out of there because I felt something was off. Went to a walk-in clinic and they checked me out but didn’t do an ultrasound right then. I had to wait until the next day. Until my ultrasound I did not know I had a bicornuate uterus. During the ultrasound they said I was bleeding on the opposite side and that the horn where the baby was located was perfectly fine! They told me it was common for the opposite side to bleed and shed with bicornuate uterus’. I was still pretty nervous after that but baby was a trooper throughout my pregnancy. He never flipped upside down so I ended up needing a c-section when he was almost 38 weeks.

ALSO: my cervix is in an odd spot and hard for doctors to find half the time. Because of this I always need the BIG speculum. As far as I know it is complete and functions fine.

I’m trying for baby #2 currently (I’m like 8 DPO as I write this) and I’m nervous what may happen with our second pregnancy. Worried about how my uterus has changed since baby #1 and worried I’ll lose the baby earlier than expected. I’m hopeful when reading through some of these posts about multiple successful pregnancies, but the voice at the back of my mind is nagging me.
