My Boys Arrived 💙💙

So a little while ago, on the 19th August, I went in for my c section at 36 weeks + 1 day. My boys were sharing a placenta and they tend to malfunction past that gestation when working twice as hard for 2 babies.

Alexander Marcus was born first, 09:54 weighing 5lbs 15oz

Zachariah Lucas was born second, at 09:55 weighing 6lbs 2.5oz

Zach suffered with fluid on his lungs and was taken to the NICU straight after birth. However he was taken off oxygen within the first hour and thrived ever since. Both boys suffered from jaundice and need phototherapy. We were in the maternity hospital for 4 days and Xander had an overnight stay in the children's hospital, due to both boys losing more than 10% of their birth weight in their first week and him needing treatment for his jaundice.

We have been at home, together as a family for a whole week and the boys have gained more weight 🥳
