I think love is a feeling and what you do with that love/how you act on your feelings is a choice

For me it was a feeling at first but over time as things get more serious and you see each others flaws and mistakes the feeling is still there but you have to make the choice to stay committed because the perfect "honeymoon period" is over and there will be moments when the feeling isn't there, but it always comes back.

I think it's both. Yes it's something you feel strongly on your own, but it's also something to have to work at (making it a choice as well). My marriage for example (and I'm sure a lot of other people's marriages): I love my husband to death, with all of my heart! I never thought I could love someone this much.. And as strongly as I do. He is literally my other half. And he feels the same about me. BUT marriage is definitely no cake walk. It takes work. We both have to make the choice to work together as a team!

IMO it is by choices. You can tell yourself to stop and move on which that will make the feelings fade away. On the other hand if you choose to stay the feelings will only get stronger.
