Caffeine during IVF?

Question

What are your thoughts on caffeine during 
IVF
 and pregnancy? Cut it out completely or stick with a limited amount? Anyone’s doctor give them advice? 
I’m finding it very difficult to give up my one cup of coffee a day. I switched to half caf, but now I end up drinking two cups a day instead of one 😂. 
I have an FET later this month and had planned to stop caffeine all together on CD1, but I’ve failed at that already. Obviously I want to do everything I can to get that get that little embryo to stick, but I also don’t want to be more miserable than necessary. Anyone else having this struggle?

I’ve cut it out completely since my egg retrieval (August 6th).  It’s been hard but doable. I substitute with decaf teas. 
I believe it’s recommended you should have less than 200mg of caffeine a day. 
It’s all personal choice but whatever you decide it’s the right one for you! 😊

I don’t drink coffee or soda in the first place so it was easy for me to completely cut out caffeine, but I think if I was a coffee drinker normally I would probably just try to stick to no more than 1 cup per day, if even that. My clinic recommends cutting caffeine completely.

They say a cup of coffee is fine and anything under 200mg of caffeine. But for me personally I cut it out completely. I just figure it took me so long to get pregnant and with going through IVF if something as simple as cutting out coffee helps then so be it 💜💙 Good luck!

My doctor said 200 mg per day is fine. I drink 1-2 cups of coffee a day. Rarely I’ll also drink a soda, so I’m sure I max out the 200 mg and possibly go over on occasion. Didn’t do anything bad to me- got pregnant with my fresh transfer.

Caffeine can constrict blood flow, so I cut out coffee altogether during my stims and after transfer. I did occasionally drink a cup of green tea because it has less caffeine and has some health benefits. I would recommend limiting your caffeine can once you have your transfer.

I cut out caffeine 3 days prior to transfer and since then I haven’t had coffee or caffeinated drinks except sips here and there. I tried decaf but it’s just not the same 😫

My first doctor said to limit caffeine intake to 1 cup a day. My current doctor doesn’t care up until FET, then only 200mg per day.  Which I think is a decent amount! 
I personally stopped caffein when started fertility treatment last year. Well, I still have matcha from time to time as (per Starbucks) it only has 90mg of caffein. I don’t drink soda or any other caffeinated drinks.

I haven’t had caffeine in a year, since we started fertility treatments. But I’ve heard 1 cup/day is fine. I figured just my luck it would affect something so I cut it out completely just in case. Instead I will have chia seeds for energy or go on a walk. I miss coffee though!!
