Stomach pain & vomiting a week before period

Hi everyone,

So I noticed that since around February I have been getting intense stomach pain/cramping accompanied but vomiting about a week or so before I start my period.

My most recent occurrence was about 2 weeks ago and I usually bounce back to normal once my period starts (sometimes I do have normal cramps) but this time the stomach pain has lingered a little bit longer. At first I thought it was due to maybe eating spicy foods so often, but then I realized how it usually occurs cyclically around the time of my period, which makes me think it’s related to that some how... I’ve also realized that I’ve lost quite a bit of weight, and that I get fuller faster.

I should also mention the cramping I get before my period is usually in my upper stomach. It literally feels like my tummy is contracting from pain, which is what leads me to throwing up. Once my period starts is when I experience normal lower abdominal cramps.

It’s so dumb, but I’m really scared of going to the dr’s office & covid just intensifies this fear. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar to this... is it something I should be worried about?

Thank you :)
