So apparently mom shaming starts before birth

What's some things you have already been mom shamed for before even having your baby, and whats thier reasoning.

Mine :

For cultural reasons my daughter will have her ears pierces ASAP after birth.

I was told thats mutilation and she doesn't have the choice

My husband and I share different cultures and I want my daughter to know both.

I was told I was forcing a culture on my child bc she will live in the U.S.A and its not fair to make her be apart of my husbands culture as well.

Im still going to pierce her ears. And I want her to be just as much apart of her father as she is mine and she wont understand the things he does unless i teach her to do both.

My sister :

For not wanting to curcumsize her son.

Saying it's inhumane to not fix his penis

For changing his name a week before she is due

Saying she is unprepared to be a mother

For not wanting to vaccinate her son.

Saying her son will die and give others diseases.

Im 100% ok with whatever choice she decides to make bc that is not my child. I dont care what his penis looks like. If my daughter is vaccinated, I dont need to worry about her son not being.

She can change the name after birth for all i care.

ITS NOT MY CHILD. So help me understand how you mom shame someone before they even have their baby. Or why people have anything to say about how someone else is a mother.

I dont whoop my kids, but I see people who do. I dont say anything bc its not my child and as long as they are not beating them. Then they need to raise the children how they want bc they came out of thier womb!!

Help me understand, I'm confused.
