How much money do you make an hour?

Sorry if this is intruding to anyone I always feel bad. I can never find the courage to ask people face to face I feel like money is a private conversation. How much money were you making at the age of 19 or if you are 19/20 right now? 
How much money is the appropriate salary to live on your own? Monthly/hourly

This depends on where you live.
When i was 19 i was making minimum wage. Minimum wage at that time was barely over 7 dollars. I absolutely could not have lived on that.

when i was 19 i worked at a nonprofit for $18.27/hr, but it was in a place where living expenses were astronomical so minimum wage tended to float around 15/hr. now that i live in a much cheaper city at 23 i make $15.75/hr and still live pretty comfortably.

I have 2 jobs right now. (I’m 21)
My first jobs is working at a restaurant & I get paid $11 hour & my second job is at a weight loss clinic as a phlebotomists & I get paid $15.

It just depends how you handle your money. Before when I was working I made $15 an hour and my bf made $20 an hour but we were REALLY bad with money so we could barely make it by on rent. Now I’m a SAHM, bf still makes the same but we are so much better with money now we can afford our rent and still have a good amount left over. But then again he’s not really on a Per hour rate its a Flat Rate, meaning he gets paid for the estimated time it takes to work on something. So that helps.

When I was 19 I was making $12/hour but still living with my parents since there was no way I could live on that where I live. Now I make $21 and my hubby and I have survived on my income for 3 years.

Im in New Zealand, when I was 19 I was making minimum wage which at the time was $16.70 if I remember correctly I was also a checkout operator at a grocery store. Im 22 now with 2 kids and minimum wage is $18.30 and I make $21.50 an hour going up to $23 in July Im a community support worker and I also have 2 kids. When I was 19 I was pregnant with my oldest.

I’m 22 years of age and at the moment I make $15/hour. Where I live that’s not really much and a lot individuals are struggling to get jobs. I’m looking to get a second job full time because I can no longer afford schooling and paying bills at the same time.😰

At that age I was making just above minimum wage as a pharmacy tech. Now I own 4 business and practice as a psychologist. I have no idea what an hourly break down would be.
