Depression medicine

So I have depression ... really feel like there’s no worth living life & very irritable 24/7. I am going to talk to my doctor about it obviously but wanted to come to you guys first for opinions.

Anybody on any medicine, if so which one? Do you like it? Any side effects ? Also will medicine help with my irritability as well?
