I do not recommend this bassinet. Even if my bed wasn’t a platform bed the bassinet would be too low to just pick baby up. There are better options for similar price range.

This the one I used, but I too had csection was fortunate to have a king size bed where I actually used a dockatot deluxe for the my first 6weeks that lift which I have on my king too. Was absolutely awful to do during my recovery and I was alone though all of it
Relatives live out of state and husband was never home due to business

This the dockatot if you can spoil yourself with one it’s worth the investment. Used it during my csection recovery as mentioned and now my little one is 6months and a week.
It’s not in his crib unsnapped due his growth rate is 90% for height.
Needs the grand but we make it work til we absolutely need to size up.
Worth every penny. Was amazing new born til now. 
I use it for tummy time too.

You can change the height on these! We have ours raised up and it's a breeze for me to pick up my daughter. Our bed is *really* high and memory foam—That combo with the tall sides on the bassinet makes it impossible to get her from a seated position in the bed... *but* when I pull the bassinet over to our bed my daughter is up high enough that she's at eye level when I'm laying down and I  can easily look over to check on her without getting out of bed. 
Forgive the mess in this photo. We're reorganizing the bedroom right now. But you can see the height of the bassinet and my bed. (Our bed is tall enough to store large plastic tubs underneath. I'm not sure exactly what the height is off the top of my head though.)

Same with this one! It was SO LOW!!!! Returned it before baby was born. Not suitable for any woman who just gave birth, especially any mom that had a c section
