Would this make you cringe?

Boyfriend of 6 years constanrly talks about being famous. He says he thinks was “destined” for being in the spotlight and that he would love the lifestyle of paparazzi following him. He thinks he’s going to be a famous rockstar. He’s 21 and he is really good at guitar but I think this is getting a bit ridiculous. Would this make you cringe?

It's okay to have a goal and to try to accomplish it but you have to be realistic with yourself.

It would be one thing if his goal or dream was to be an amazing musician and what happens to come along with that is the rockstar lifestyle. It’s another thing if what he wants is the lifestyle and BOnUs he gets to play guitar on the side. Yuck. No thanks.

It wouldn’t make me cringe that he has a dream. I would support him while being realistic.

The only thing I’d find cringeworthy is if he talking about doing drugs and banging groupies
