When am I allowed to take baths again

Question

I’ll be two weeks postpartum tomorrow and I feel great downstairs. I had a one degree tear and a two degree tear that only required one stitch. When am I allowed to take baths again? I enjoy taking baths and especially enjoy them with baby every once in a while. And I’ll I want to do right now is cuddle in the bath with baby.

I had a second degree tear and waited until the postpartum bleeding stopped completely. I think I was 5 weeks. If you’re still bleeding, your cervix isn’t completely closed.

I was told only a sitz bath for the first 6 weeks. Especially with a tear I would wait until the doctor clears you at your postpartum appointment

I got an infection from taking baths...I didn’t know I wasn’t supposed to until 6 weeks 😫

Check with your provider. Mine said I could take baths right away. Even gave me herbal soak to help with healing and encouraged me take one. But I've seen lots of people on here told not to take them till 6 weeks 🙈 so I'd check to be sure
