We have a Jr! I personally love it. I hope he passes his name onto his son one day. It's not a big deal confusing names between my husband and my son, its yelling out the dogs names instead that always gets me haha!

Yes, kind of. My husband did not want a Jr, so we compromised and used my husband's Saint name (from Confirmation, we are Catholic) as our first son's middle name; he's named Cameron David. For this son coming soon, we used Daddy's first name as baby's middle name- he is named Nathan John.

My brother in law has trouble all the time now that he's an adult because his and his father's SSN get switched or misreported to the other all the time. They even have different middle names but it's been a huge problem.

I personally won't do it because my husband is already a 3rd and I don't need a 4th! No honoring a father or grandfather like their first name as a middle name I will do and did do with my son. He has a 2nd middle name of Charles that was my mom's dad and my husband's mom's dad's name. So we passed it down to our son.
That's just me, every person is unique and I like individual names. Do what you want to do though.

My dad is a 3rd so my brother ended up getting a new name because they thought being a 4 th would be silly. I'd totally have a Jr though.

My brother is named after our dad. Growing up, it created a lot of confusion with opening each other's mail, getting 10 minutes into a phone conversation and realizing, "Oh, you wanted my dad," etc. When my nephew was born a few years ago, my brother and his wife chose not to carry on the name. Just some things to think about.

My first born is Rafael as he is my miracle baby and my husband had left by 6wks but my new partner suggested bump#2 as his name so putting the feelers out there x
