PP curiosity

So I’m just curious... I always see posts about people asking if they can have sex before 6 weeks PP and being cleared by a doctor. I was just wondering if any UK mums had these PP appointments? Because I never did. My little one is 1 on the 13th. I had a PP appointment but literally all the doctor did was ask me how I’m getting on? It was more about the baby. Nor did any midwife or doctor ever advise me during or after pregnancy how long I should wait before having sex. I had sex 2 weeks PP and never had any issues, and wasn’t aware it could have been! I didn’t know if I just missed out, or if it’s not such a thing in the UK as the US?
