Have you changed out your car seat?

I'm confused. I notice a lot of ladies on here have changed out there car seat. We still have the original/same car seat from the day we brought little lady home... The car seat still accommodates her size and is rear facing. Have you changed out your car seat? If so how come? Ours is still an infant car seat not a convertible toddler. She is a little toddler.

Every car seat has a weight and height limit. Once they hit one of those (usually height will be first!) you need to switch, but until then you are good to go! 
We switched from the infant car seat to a convertible when he was just over a year old because he maxed out on height. 💙

My baby has a Doona so we switched her to a convertible a few months ago. We went by her weight and height.

I just switched him a couple weeks ago, right around 18 mo, mostly because we're expecting #2 in October and I am trying to get everything ready, so I wanted to get him out of the infant seat. But he still fits in it and hasn't reached the weight limit yet, so if he needed to use the infant seat he still could.

We stopped using the infant seat at 3 months. It was heavy and she was super tall so it just made sense to switch.

If baby still fits it’s fine. We switched out earlier because it was too heavy to carry anymore with her in it and she was about to outgrow it.

We switched out of an infant car seat at like 5 months I think, she just got too big for it and was uncomfortable in it. Every kid size is different so if yours still fits, then I would just keep using it!

She was too tall for the infant carrier so we switched to a convertible.

My guy was getting a little too big for his infant car seat.  He also was able to unlatch the buckle so it got really bad

We switched ours at around 6 months for a few reasons. 1) he was getting to heavy in it. 2) hes really long

We switched (around 11 months) because our daughter was getting too tall & she seemed like she was uncomfortable in the infant seat. She handles being in the car so much better now.
