C section recovery ?!

Anyone else have a c section? How are you feeling and coping with it ? I’m almost 2 weeks after surgery and feeling pretty good still sore of course. Had a check up with the doctor all looked good but having anxiety about all the “what if” complications that can happen like what if I get an infection or the incision inside opens up?!  ... how long does it take to full recover ?!

I'm nearly 5w PP after my elective section. First baby. I had complications after so wasn't as mobile as early as I would have liked. I didn't touch my scar until I was about 2w PP. The swelling has gone down and generally feels OK. I can touch it and clean it fine, though still get tenderness sometimes but it is getting better.
I would recommend looking at YouTube videos for C section massage as that can help recovery and stop the scar tissue from binding with your stomach muscles and promote healing. It's recommended from 6w PP. I'm going to see my physio who does this as part of her mummy package.

Had an unplanned c section. Was in hospital for only about 48 hours after. Didn't take pain meds when I got home. Want even really sore after a week. More just frustrated to feel normal but still have all the restrictions. Counting the days to my 6 week check up on the 15th. I don't know how y'all do it with an existing child. If I go for a second I will be trying for a VBAC.

Im about 1.5 weeks pp from my elective csection and ive been feeling relatively good. Told my incision looks great got cleared to drive. Just monitoring swelling in my legs n feet. I dont do too much but i do feel pretty good to do most things. Only really hurts a bit first thing in the am before i take any tylenol. I just started trying to get the belly band on so my belly doesnt hang anymore that was more sore feeling than the incision

I’m 5.5 weeks pp from my second csection. I’m sore and it still hurts a little to get up and down off furniture because I have no muscles but that will get better. I should get cleared this week to resume normal activity. After 2 weeks, it gets a lot better and to be honest, I’m probably more active than I should be - chasing after my toddler, going up and down stairs in my house, etc. Just make sure you’re following directions for cleaning and look at the incision everyday for signs of infection (pus, redness, heat).

This was my second c-section. I had staples, so I didn’t worry about it reopening because it was fully closed before the staples came out. I have my 6 week checkup tomorrow, so it will be nice to be cleared to exercise and officially be allowed to pick up our toddler. My incision still hurts sometimes (toddler kicked it the other day and that wasn’t a great feeling) and my skin is still super sensitive (it’s bothersome to touch or rub with washcloth or loofa). But otherwise I feel good and have for about a month. With my first, it took about a year to no longer have the area bother me, so I’m hoping it’s the same or less this time.

I will be 5 weeks post csection this Thursday and I’ve been picking up my 30 pound toddler, cleaning, shopping, walking. I’m feeling great! My incision has been closed for a little over a week so I didn’t worry about it opening. I don’t have any pain whatsoever. I can almost pick up my legs while laying flat so that’s good 🙏🏻 hopefully I can’t go to the gym soon 😏

I'm 3 wks pp with a repeat C-Section and I feel like 90% better already ! My first C-Section was awful and it took forever to heal but this time around I was up the next day being active and now I feel almost completely healed even though I know I have a long way to go.
