Being a stay at home mom or non income person is a way to trap you

The more I read posts about being a stay at home mom or a non income person, the more I’m convinced that is a way for your partner to trap you. I’m sure it’s not the case for most people but most of the time I hear how your needs aren’t met even if he’s not “abusive”, holding it over your head, he thought it would be best, all the way to threatening you. Like you literally can’t leave and if you want to, you’ll have a hard time and will have to depend on someone or realize you gotta stay with him. I get it, house needs to be cleaned and kids need to be looked after, but it almost seems like they hand you rose color glasses then as time goes on you realize how controlling they are
