I’m 40+4 and honestly couldn’t be more ready for labour if I tried! Other than yesterday I’ve had no sign or indication he’s ready to come 😒

yesterday I had contractions for 12 hours continuous but not regular then they eased up throughout the night.

This morning however I lost my mucous plug! (Finally something!)

Now I’ve read everywhere from nhs website to forums that just because this has come out doesn’t mean labour is near and could in fact be a week or so away.. I however don’t have this fear as in a week I’ll be induced if nothing happens.

My question is, for the mums who have already had their babies, how long after losing your plug did you have to wait for labour to start? was it weeks? Hours? did you do anything to push it along or did you just let nature take its course?

I love hearing others stories who have been in this situation so hearing back how long you did/or didn’t have to wait and if you did or didn’t help it along would help a desperately hormonal pregnant woman get through another couple of hours 😂😂
