Gestational Diabetes

Alexis
I've been having a hard time with my pregnancy, my first. It's like a never ending roller coaster. I've never had morning sickness (thank GOD), but the first couple weeks, it was depression to stress with the S/O to getting diagnosed with gestational diabetes the beginning of this month. I have a family history of diabetes, which my mid-wife told me its most likely why I'm stuck with it. The first week being diagnosed, I've had trouble maintaining my blood sugar which is super stressful. Then started in medication which has helped a lot! But now my issue is since I've gotten pregnant, I've gained 30 lbs and I'm 26wks and 1 Day. Why this is so hard for me, I personally do not cook and/or hate cooking. At the moment, I am staying with family until January with the due date February 23. In my heritage, it is disrespectful to not eat what's family has prepared. I've tried being more active by weakling after work, but it does not seem to help at all. At work, I have a desk job and I am super busy throughout the day and do not have to luxury of getting up and walking when I feel like it as I work at a hospital. I feel like I'm in a bind either way. Sorry for the rant..
