I’ve always had a swollen eye, I’ve had surgery that reduced the swelling a few years ago but it still swollen. It used to be much much bigger, it only is noticeable if I smile or when I’m super tired. I Neurofibromatosis which is a genetic disorder that causes tumors to form on nerve tissue. These tumors can develop anywhere in your nervous system, including your brain, spinal cord and nerves. Neurofibromatosis is usually diagnosed in childhood or early adulthood.

I’m super self conscious about it because when my boyfriend and I are out in about he always gets death stares because they think he hits me. Which is not the case! I just hate always getting asked what’s wrong and if I’m being beat. I try to keep the swelling down by putting a cold compress but that only helps for so long😔 here’s a picture for reference
