I love my mother-in-law like she was my own mother. In fact I’m closer to her than my own biological mom.

But she’s making me so scared and nervous. 😩 I’m trying to get the nursery together and as a FTM I already feel unprepared.

I want to put together her crib set but MIL keeps telling me I can’t yet because then I’ll have to wash it again because dust will get on it between now and October. Can’t get the changing table or dresser together for the same reason. Can’t wash her clothes until she’s almost her because of the dust.

The nursery is 11 x 11 room with hardwood floors. I wanted to get a small rug to make it cozy. MIL kindly bought us one. It’s 8x10 and takes up the whole floor. Her reason was because our daughter could fall out of her crib after she’s born and she needs the hard floor to be covered if that happens. So now I’m nervous about her falling out of her crib at some point.

I know she’s trying to help but she’s making this go with the flow momma start to freak out. 😩
