Physician is skilled but rude - any thoughts?

I got a highly recommended nurse/midwife in my area but after two visits, her personality is just not sitting well. She has a condescending way of speaking and is very brusque, but other patients say that is just her way but she is worth it on delivery day. Her initial exams were better than past doctors and I trust her skill level, but is that enough?
This is my first baby to get to the 2nd trimester and I have some anxiety after a previous loss, so any input on how important personality actually is would be much appreciated! I know no one is perfect, and I'm not set on a midwife - she just had such a good reputation that I gave it a shot. I do love the office staff there and wonder if it would be bad etiquette to try one of the doctors in the practice?
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts!
