You shouldn't unless the person is acting like an ass about it, but that's more on them than you, anyway, but some of us do feel ashamed to cry in front of people anyway.

Here's the thing...crying, especially unexpectedly, makes me feel incredibly vulnerable. I don't like feeling vulnerable in front of people that I am not familiar with, or people that I know will use my sensitivity against me. If you've known me long enough to know that I'm a cry baby basket case sometimes, I'm comfortable. If not, super awkward.

No, but some of us can't help but feel embarrassed. My boyfriend has no problem crying about anything that he finds endearing or touching. Like when we watched Frozen for the first time he cried. I wanted to cry at the ending too but I don't like crying in front of others so I held back. To each their own.

I do this. I don't find it awkward but I do find it frustrating and disruptive. My husband usually just gets frustrated because I am having a hard time communicating what's wrong.

My mom gets me tho. She calms me enough to get me to slowly tell her what's wrong.

I do bc I was raised crying is a sign of weakness and if people see me cry then they know my weak areas n will use it against me. I know crazy n I realize this but I still feel awkward crying.
