Santería

I need opinions. My husbands brother follows santería or that’s his religion. But they have this “saint” in their house which is supposed to be a little boy. They light up candles every week and give him candy and stuff. To be honest it creeps me out big time. I am not a very religious person but I am a Christian and don’t believe we need any of that to protect ourselves just God. Well considering all that and if you felt the way I felt, would you still go to his home. I am pregnant and have a 2 year old I don’t feel right in that house
