Hair help!!! How do I make it stay?

I have really short hair now. It does not go below chin, and it’s stacked and short in the back. It was cut incorrectly, I have found a hairstyle I LOVE(please don’t judge). I’m having trouble getting it to stay in place. It is teased everywhere to try and hold it in place and hair Big sexy hair hairspray in it but by mid day I find myself going back in reteasing and hairspray and it’s getting funky from the hairspray. What else can I use??? Like I said my hair is really short so I feel it should be staying in place a lot better.
