It’s been rough....

Brittany

THIS is the reality of a pregnancy journey during covid. My poor fiancé hasn’t been able to attend 1 appointment with me! Which is why we resulted to getting a few elective ultrasounds so he could see our little man together in current time. The past few days have been pretty rough in terms of my paraesophegal hiatal hernia and the pregnancy.

.

For those of you that may not know, part of my stomach pushed itself through my diaphragm and is buldged next to my esophagus making indigestion a living hell. It’s already really bad normally during pregnancy and it’s so much worst with this condition. No matter what I eat I get it. Anyways, after a few night of having it so severe when I ran out of Pepcid, I almost went to the er because it felt like a damn hole was going to burn through my throat, so that in combination with all the issues, I decided to go talk to my ob

.

1.) I ABSOLUTELY can not miss a dose of Pepcid AC Max (which I’m taking twice a day) It’ll come back with a vengeance which I found out the other night.

2.) I am officially written out of work until after the baby comes; will be filing for tdi.

3.) I will for sure be induced a week early (Dec 9th) unless other conditions arise that would be considered medically necessary for an earlier induction at which I’d have to go to a different hospital for delivery.

4.) Baby is measuring 3cm higher then the average person at 26 weeks. (Doesn’t surprise me) AND baby is for some reason staying super high up. I was originally concerned with as the baby gets bigger this might get increasingly worst, but the doctor reminded me that i will drop which may help some of the worst symptoms at some point whenever that happens!

.

Anyways I feel so confident in my doctor and he is trying his best to help me. As I keep saying, I’m trying my best to enjoy this pregnancy as I plan it to be my last but it’s been rough. It’s crazy because you would think after losing a significant amount of weight, and living a healthier lifestyle, that it would allow you to have the best pregnancy possible, but that isn’t always the case. I can say I am healthier then what I was, and I’m grateful for that. ❤️ 26.1 weeks being induced December 9th
