With Covid going on, are you doing a birthday party for your babies first?

Trying to decide if we should do an little get together in our backyard for his first birthday. Leaning towards not doing it. What are your plans?

We’re not having any party. We will let my SO parents come over one day, my father and step mom over another and my mom over another. But those will only be quick visits most likely. 
We still aren’t seeing much of any family. I only saw my brother 4 times this summer when I usually see him and his family weekly. It’s been tough. But I’d rather look back and think I was ridiculous and over the top than look back with regret 🤷🏼‍♀️

We're not doing anything due to several family members health. We also can't enforce social distancing with our toddler. I'm pretty sure my in laws will hate the idea of not having a first birthday party, but we got to do what's best for us and our community.

We were prem so already had her first birthday and where we live we have been in strict lockdowns for what seems like forever, and you’re not even allowed to have anyone from outside your household come to your house, all schools are doing online learning, and most places of employment are online if possible. One person is allowed to go out to do a supermarket shop with a mask on. 
So basically even if we had of wanted to do a first birthday we wouldn’t have been able to. There are talks our lockdowns may be slightly relaxed from next week, and let me tell you I am mega excited!

We had a long pros-and-cons conversation about this and concluded an in-person party would be impossible for us to control or enjoy. 
We are going to do a Zoom cake smash and ask “guests” to contribute something for his baby book to celebrate a different way.

We are just having a small gathering with my parents, my husband’s brother and his girlfriend, and one of my best friends who my daughter absolutely adores. These are all people we see almost every weekend anyway. I wanted to have a big party, but my mom is high risk so I didn’t want to put her or anyone else in that position.

We have been podding with 2 other families and will celebrate with them, but no one extra

Nope.  We celebrated with a cake smash with just us 🥰 not worth risking for a party they won’t even remember.

We aren’t doing anything. Might celebrate at home just us, but we don’t have a lot of family around and the friends we do have all work in high risk fields.
