After sex...

Hi ladies! So I'm very new at this, we are experimenting with TTC at this point haha. My question is: after sex, is there an optimal amount of time we should wait before he pulls out? After that semen just kind of rushes out especially if I stand. Should i be in a certain position after and if so for how long? Also is using ky jelly really a no no?
