M/C at 7 weeks

I’m gutted. I started bleeding and passing clots yesterday morning. ED visit found no fetal pole or heartbeat. Hcg 843. We won’t officially confirm our loss until tomorrow morning with repeat hcg’s but there’s little room for doubt at this point. This is my first m/c, we are so fortunate to have a healthy 1-year-old baby boy already and that pregnancy had no complications.

Currently bleeding a lot with nonstop cramping - but both feel manageable. For those who have had a m/c this early, is a D&C typical or can I let nature run it’s course? How long does this typically take? I’m at a loss for what to expect or do. I’m sure the doctor will give me info tomorrow but I’d like to go in with an idea of what things may look like either way.
