Acrylic nails during pregnancy?

I'm about 5 weeks pregnant and currently have acrylic nails. Does anyone know if this can be a risk during pregnancy?

Acetone is absorbed through the skin. Not good for pregnancy.

It's not the nail itself.  U shouldn't breath the chemical in while they file and place the nails. Wear a mask or go when its not busy so the room stays ventilated.  And as long as u wash your hands like normal bacteria won't hide under them.

I had my nails done every month of my pregnancy and my hair done. Just make sure the store is well ventilated and doesn't have the bad nail salon smell! If your really unsure ask your doctor and you could also wear a mask the salon ladies do!

I've heard that the smell can make you sick, and somewhere I once read that the fumes harms but i don't really see a huge issue with it. I went and got mine done multiple times.

I had them with my last one. Just make sure the salon you go to is very well ventilated.
