Plan b and breastfeeding ??

Is this safe to take while breastfeeding? I had unprotected sex last night (dumb I know) but I’m pretty sure I’m ovulating and I’m freaking out so I just wanna make sure it’s safe before doing so !!

Yes it’s safe! The pharmacist advised me to take it right after a feeding tho so that it would give about 3 hours before baby fed again... maybe for the hormones to dissipate? I’m not 100% sure.

I’m pretty sure it’s safe because some woman can take the mini pill when they’re breastfeeding and the mini pill is just progesterone and so is the plan b. Call your doctor and ask or go to a drug store and ask the pharmacist before buying. Also you could do the copper IUD which is a bit more effective and you could tell your gyno‘a office about and ask if they could squeeze you in to get it inserted, it works as EC and doesn’t have any hormones
