Embryo testing???

Question

So if I don’t test my embryos, if I can produce good eggs, then I can have a transfer in nov.   but I want to test them. Then I won’t be able to get a transfer until feb because the embryologist won’t be here in dec.   has anyone had a successful transfer/implantation/healthy pregnancy without testing?  Deciding if I want to test my embryos.   😬 I’ve waited so long to get to this point.  🥺

I did not test mine due to cost. Even with a history of recurring pregnancy loss and being in my mid-30s. Despite all this I had my first successful pregnancy with non-pgs tested embryos.

We never tested, it’s not such a thing in the U.K. and I was high risk for abnormalities due to having chemo in the past. Our first round of IVF, first transfer was fresh and successful. Now 16w pregnant and our 12w scan and testing for abnormalities came back low risk 👍

Yes my son was not tested. I also see a lot of tested embryos not implant or result in miscarriage so it’s not 100%

On the egg retrieval cycle where we did PGS, our doctor gave us the option to do a fresh transfer with one that was untested, and then just test the remaining. You could ask if this is an option for you?

We never tested our embryos since we were prescreened for potential genetic abnormalities before starting our journey we felt that was enough and the RE agreed.  We now have a healthy 4 year old from a fresh transfer and are now expecting our 2nd from FET.

We didn’t do pgs testing. Our RE said with our medical histories/age she didn’t think it was necessary. We did the genetic testing blood work. We were successful first round of ivf icsi fresh transfer. Our son was born in January

I have a 19 month old daughter and I’m 17 weeks and 3 days pregnant currently. Neither embryo was pgs tested.

I think it depends. In my case I have endometriosis and will have mine tested because of a higher likelihood to chromosome abnormalities. I already have to wait since we will have ours frozen and then transferred a few months later.
